Muslim "Extremists" Are Merely Loyal to Their Faith

The media continue using the expression: "Islamic extremists" referring to terrorists and any Islamic violence against "unbelievers" or even brother Muslims. A Christian Iraqi pastor was quoted as being "at a loss to understand the violence" and, wondered on "what religious pretext these terrorists work."

There is no mystery about this "extremist" violence. These Muslims are loyal to what their prophet, Mohammed, has directed from Allah in the Quran. They are not "extremists." They believe and live and obey the "pretexts" from their Holy Book. Following are a few quotes from the Quran that describe and authorize their "extremist" actions:

2:191 And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out; for tumult or oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they first fight you there; but if they fight you, slay them. Such is the reward of those who suppress faith.

5:51 O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them for friendship is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.

9:5 But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war; but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practice regular charity, then open the way for them: For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Al-Qaeda, Hezbollah, Hamas, etc. are faithful to the faith, not "extremists." Western cultures will improve their security and achieve better understanding with less zealous Muslims, if we would diligently study their Holy Book, the Quran. Ignoring this inconsistency within Islam can lead to failure in our foreign policy, trade, military alliances, diplomatic dialogue and many other facets in dealing with this greatly misunderstood culture. Westerners must no longer be misled by the media's lack of knowledge and objectives concerning this religion. As a result, the West is being propagandized, consciously or in ignorance, by what is becoming a grossly understated doctrine of the Islamic faith and how it can affect the West.

Verification of Muslim doctrine can be obtained by searching on at least one on-line Quran, with an EXCELLENT search mode to find such words. The following link provides one of several translations on the web.

PAGAN(S), UNBELIEVER(S), CHRISTIAN(S), PEOPLE OF THE GOSPEL, JEW(S), PEOPLE OF THE BOOK, IDOLATER(S)

5:54 is a good one for "starters" for Jews and Christians. -- Another is 2:191 for any of us who are "unbelievers."

Please study these and make your own determination regarding which faiths promote love, hate, deceit, falsehoods and misconceptions or Truth.

It is clear that so-called "moderate" Muslims do not adhere to these violent precepts of their Holy Book. However, we of the Western cultures must exercise extreme caution when dealing with the leaders of Islamic nations who accept and enforce the literal commandments of their prophet, Mohammed.
